Surveys, Foam, Liners, Oh my!

All Surveys Are Out!  Check Your Inbox!

First things first, a survey should be awaiting you in your inbox!  If you can't find it for any reason, you can get a new one sent to you by visiting this page and entering your email. At this time, 60% of you have completed your survey!  That's great and will help me stay on track to deliver on time!

Secondly, please remember, if you purchased multiple Chambers, and are getting any of them engraved, you must fill out this Google Form after you complete your BackerKit survey! This will ensure that I engrave the correct image onto the correct Chamber!  Thank you!

A few of you have asked to see pictures of the different liner options, so here's a picture showing the Black Leather, Cork, and No Liner options:

Lastly, I have added an option to the Extra Foam Insert For Essential Chambers Add-On: The Cut Your Own.  Basically, this option will allow you to cut your own foam to suit your needs.  You'll receive a square foam insert with instructions on how to cut it yourself.  This option is actually a little less work for me, so it is only $2, instead of the regular (but still affordable!) $5.  Win-win!

Thank you all again for your support and responsiveness!  Please don't hesitate to send me more questions.  I will always answer them as soon as I can!

The Big Ole' Survey Update! Important to read!
about 5 years ago – Mon, Apr 22, 2019 at 10:15:49 AM

Surveys are coming!  But first, I have some important info!

I hope you all are doing well!  I'm just about finished setting up all of the post-Kickstarter management stuff. This is all important info, so please take your time reading through!

A few of you will get your survey today.  I'm using BackerKit for surveys and fulfillment management.  Before all of the surveys go out, they send out a "smoke test."  This just means a few of you will get your survey early so that I can catch any issues before sending all the surveys out to everybody.  An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!

The rest of the surveys will go out tomorrow (tuesday), and here's how that will go:  You’ll receive an email from me with a special link to your BackerKit survey. It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since I need this information to fulfill your rewards (looking at you, earlybirds).  You don't need to create a BackerKit account to fill out the survey.  Just click the button, choose your wood, liner, and foam preferences, and provide a mailing address!  You can also choose add-ons at this time if you would like!

After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before I close the surveys and get my final counts.  I will send out notifications before I lock down anything.

If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on my BackerKit project page at https://dryadchamber.backerkit.com .  If you used Facebook to log onto Kickstarter, the email associated with your facebook will receive your survey.

Getting multiple Chambers & engraving?  Read these instructions!

There's an extra step if you're getting multiple Chambers & engraving any of them.  This is to ensure that I engrave the correct artwork onto the correct Chamber.  Don't worry, it's super simple.

First, fill out your survey like normal, and add your engraving preference(s).

When you select art engraving you'll find a link to this Google Form.  Once you're finished making your selections in BackerKit, you'll use that Google Form to describe your Chambers.  This is super important so that I don't engrave artwork on the incorrect Chamber!  To clarify, you need to do the BackerKit survey AND the Google Form.  If you have any questions or issues, send me a message or email [email protected]!

This step is not necessary if you only are purchasing a single Chamber!

Finally, I have a confession.

I was super thrilled to reach all of the stretch goals that we reached!  I'm so incredibly grateful!  BUT, there was one last stretch goal that I was really hoping we'd reach; The Lich by Big Bot Design.  All of the other monsters are so amazing looking, and in my opinion, the Lich is one of the most classic and terrifying enemies across all role-playing games.  I couldn't wait to see how Big Bot would bring this skeleton man to life, and I was pretty bummed out that it wouldn't happen.  Can you imagine a red Padauk Chamber with a Lich on it?!  It'd be awesome.

So I told Big Bot to do it anyway.  Even though we didn't quite reach that stretch goal, I just couldn't resist.  The Lich is available for engraving!  I hope you'll forgive me!

I cast..... "counter-spell!"

Thank you all again for your support!  I look forward to getting your survey responses!

We did it!
about 5 years ago – Thu, Apr 04, 2019 at 04:59:37 PM

Funded by 241%!  Thank you all so much!

This has been a long, amazing month!  I can't thank you all enough for your amazing support and love!  It's a wonderful and humbling experience to work hard on a product, put it out into the world, and get the kind of response that the Chambers have gotten from all of you!  Thank you thank you thank you!

By the way, we hit another stretch goal!  My friend and illustrator magician Big Bot Design has one more monster for all of us: The Owlbear!  Equal parts wise, fearsome, and cuddly, The Owlbear can now be engraved on the lid of any Chamber!

Owlbear!

So, what now?

Right now, Kickstarter is processing all of the charges.  Some of you might get a notification that there was a problem with your card, and the charge was denied.  Fear not!  This usually isn't a big deal; you just need to go re-enter your info or use a different card.  You have a week to do this.

In the meantime, I'll be setting up the post-campaign pledge manager through BackerKit.  Once everything is good to go (within the next two weeks), I'll send out a survey.  This is where you'll tell me which specific wood you would like each chamber to be, which add-on's you would like, and your mailing address.   This is also where you can purchase additional Chambers or add-on's.  The surveys will be open for a while if you need to think about the options, but Earlybird backers will want to do this sooner rather than later.

A couple quick notes about BackerKit & surveys:

  • I will send out notifications well in advance of locking down surveys and addresses.
  • You'll be able to edit your answers until I lock down the survey.
  • You'll be able to edit your address if you move (until I lock those down too, right before I ship).
  • If you used your Facebook credentials to log into Kickstarter, the email associated with your facebook will receive the BackerKit survey.
  • If you lose your survey email, don't worry.  You'll be able to access your survey through my Backerkit page. I'll send more info about this later on.
  • You don't need to create a BackerKit account to fill out the survey.

Please let me know if you have any questions, concerns, comments, or just want to say hello!

Now is the best time to follow me on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!  I'll be posting pictures of my progress and answering questions.  You just might see your own Chamber being made!

Thank you all again so much!  I'm so excited to start shredding some wood and lasering some foam!

Just under 24 hours to go!
about 5 years ago – Wed, Apr 03, 2019 at 02:24:14 PM

The end is near!

Thank you so much to all of my amazing backers!  It's been an amazing campaign and we still have one more day!

We've also blown through another stretch goal!  Mahogany will be added as a Kickstarter exclusive to the Auloniad series!  Mahogany is a beautiful rich wood with a deep brown grain.  It's a favorite of Ron Burgundy's and I'm really excited to use it!

We're super close to ANOTHER stretch goal!  We're only a few pledges away from adding an Owlbear to the list of engravable monsters!  This one is a personal favorite, so I really hope we reach $16000!

Please Share!  If you've been waiting for just the right moment to share the Dryad Chamber campaign with your friends, I have good news!  THIS is the time to share!  A simple tweet or share on facebook would be huge!  I am eternally grateful for any help getting past the finish line!

Thank you all so much!  And of course, you can come say hello to me on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook!

Another Map Unlocked! Also Pencils are here!
about 5 years ago – Mon, Apr 01, 2019 at 10:45:25 AM

Another Stretch Goal Reached: Byrlond Available!

Another amazing fantasy map designed by Shing Cartography is now available as an engraving option! This might be my favorite map ever, and now it can be laser etched on the lid of any Chamber!

Are those ruins or a place of power?

Did someone say pencils?

Also, by popular request, pencils are now available as an add-on!  These hand-turned pencils are available in any unlocked woods.  They're actually "lead holders," the instrument preferred by most architects.  It has a super thick lead that won't easily break, an additional ball-point pen insert, and the top unscrews to reveal a lead sharpener.  These were available in my last Kickstarter, and were a big enough hit that I'm bringing them back, and they're more affordable than ever!

Pencil Prices:

  • Naiad Series (Maple, Cherry, Walnut, Ambrosia Maple, White Oak, & Hickory):  $30.
  • Auloniad Series (Purpleheart, Yellowheart, Padauk, Zebrawood & Tigerwood):  $35.
  • Oread Series (Bocote, Leopardwood, Wenge, & Canarywood): $40.

There is NO additional shipping cost for pencils.

Only Four Days Left!

Please share this project with your friends!  There's only a few days left, and I'd love to hit the next stretch goal: Mahogany!  Because I'm still a very small (one person!) company, the majority of marketing comes from word-of-mouth and my amazing backers sharing this with their friends and fellow gamers.  A quick post or message could and will make a world of a difference to me!  Thank you to the folks who have already shared!

As always, I'm on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter!  Come say hi!

Thank you!
